Description

Kettle Dimpling Tool is used to mechanically pull a flared die partly through your 7/8" drilled opening. Then once the flare is established you pull your fitting of choice (often a 1/2" FPT fitting) into place for soldering. Used on either your brew pot, kettle or keggle of choice.

Kit includes:
  • (1) 5/8" Bolt and Nut
  • (2) Pull Washers
  • (1) Seated Washer (for sitting inside 1" Die and centering)
  • (1) Stainless Steel Coupling
  • (1) Stainless Steel Flared Coupling
Brewers Note: Video explains the process very well. You do not pull the flared die completely through. You want to get the flare about 4/5 established and then use your 1/2" FPT fitting to complete the rest for a nice tight fit when soldering. This will also help hold the 1/2" FPT fitting tightly in place while you solder it.1/2" Female Stainless Steel Couplings are not included with this tool kit.

Bin: Blue Uniform-1

Well built product. June 4, 2017

The product works good but you need to be careful how far you pull the dimple tool through. The video and the instructions say to pull it 4/5 the way through. In my experience, I only pulled it to where it just started to flair out. If you go to far you can just tao the kettle back in place but it will be a tighter seal if you flair less out. I would buy this again but I don't think it will ever break.
